Booking Information

AGENCY CONDITIONS
1. MANN'S HOLIDAYS (hereinafter called "the Agency") acts only as booking agents for their client, the person (hereinafter referred to as "the Owner") offering his/her property for letting for holidays. Once your holiday is confirmed by the Agency, the holidaymaker and the Owner enter into a binding contract with each other, BUT NO CONTRACT SHALL EXIST BETWEEN THE AGENCY AND THE HOLIDAYMAKER.

2. The Agency WILL NOT be liable for any act, neglect or default on the part of the Owner or any third party for any loss, damage, expense, accident, injury or inconvenience whether to person or to property which the applicant or any other person may suffer or sustain arising out of or in respect of any application for any letting or otherwise howsoever.
3. Any holidaymaker cancelling their holiday agrees to pay the balance due seven weeks prior to the proposed date of arrival on holiday. If the reason for cancelling is covered by our Cancellation Protection Scheme (and the appropriate conditions have been adhered to) this does not apply.
4. The Agency is not in a position to ensure the acceptance by the Owner of any particular applicant. In addition, if, for any reason beyond the Agency's control, the property is not available for the date booked, all monies paid will be refunded and the hirer shall have no further claims against the Agency or the Owner.

The holidaymaker undertakes to leave the property in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the holiday. The holidaymaker also undertakes to keep the premises and all furniture, fixtures and fittings and effects in or on the premises in the same state of repair and condition as they are at the commencement of the letting and shall replace broken or damaged items with similar articles of at least equal value, or if the Owner so requires, pay to the Owner the value of any part of the premises or the furniture, fixture, fittings and effects so destroyed.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR 2010

Please read carefully before making a booking.

FEES:
In addition to the fees shown in the brochure the following are payable :

A booking fee of £28.00 per week except in period 'A' when it is £30.00 per week.
These fees are payable with the balance seven weeks before commencement of the holiday. These charges do not apply to chalets or caravans.

2010 RATES:
"A" Rate = Weeks commencing July 17th, 24th and 31st, August 7th, 14th ,and 21st & 28th (August Bank Holiday week) plus Christmas and New Year.
"B" Rate = weeks commencing May 29th (Spring Bank Holiday week), June 19th, 26th, July 3rd & 10th
"C" Rate = all other weeks (including June 5th and 12th) except as below: -
"D" Rate = applies up to March 6th and from October 31st.

INITIAL PAYMENT PER WEEK:

EQUIPMENT
EVERY PROPERTY (INCLUDING CARAVANS) CONTAINS ALL THE NECESSARY CROCKERY, CUTLERY, COOKING UTENSILS, PILLOWS, DUVETS AND/OR BLANKETS; BUT YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN BED LINEN, PILLOW CASES, TOWELS AND TEA TOWELS. Holidaymakers used to several layers of blankets should bring extra bedding with them.

THE FOLLOWING ARE INCLUDED IN ALL PROPERTIES (except caravans, unless otherwise stated in the brochure): TELEVISION, ELECTRIC OR GAS FIRE OR HEATER, ELECTRIC OR GAS COOKER, REFRIGERATOR, HOT AND COLD RUNNING WATER.

HOLIDAYMAKERS
All properties are let for FAMILY HOLIDAYS only. Bookings from non-family parties are not accepted without prior authority from the property owner.
The NUMBER OF PEOPLE occupying a property may not under any circumstances exceed the number stated in the brochure unless specific consent is obtained from the property owner.

BEDROOMS
The type of BEDROOM‚ accommodation is abbreviated in the brochure viz: (1d) = 1 bedroom with a double bed, (¾d) = 1 bedroom with a three-quarter double bed, (1s) = 1 bedroom with a single bed, (2s) = 1 bedroom with twin beds, (tb) = 1 bedroom with twin bunk beds, (1d + 1s) = 1 bedroom with a double and single bed, etc..

COTS
A COT is available FREE in those properties so indicated.

PETS GO FREE
One house-trained DOG, which must NOT be left UNATTENDED, is allowed FREE in all properties (unless otherwise stated in the brochure). No other animals are allowed. Where the expression 'TWO pets WELCOME' is used, TWO DOGS are allowed FREE; others by arrangement.

PARKING
There is PARKING space with each property (either in a garage, driveway or otherwise close by).

ELECTRICITY/GAS
Most properties have a METER, and electricity/gas in these properties is payable as you use it. In all other cases (unless otherwise stated) electricity and/or gas is INCLUDED IN THE RENT.

OVERSEAS VISITORS
All payments must be in STERLING‚ by a cheque drawn on a British bank made payable to 'Mann's Holidays' or by bank transfer direct to our bank - Lloyds Bank Plc, 90 High Street, Pwllheli, Gwynedd. LL53 5RN (sorting code 30-90-43) quoting account number 02260744. Banks may charge a fee for this service.

PAYING FOR THE HOLIDAY
The initial payment required is £80 per week. If the holiday is booked within seven weeks of the commencement date of the holiday the full amount is payable. You may pay by cheque or credit card (either online or by phoing us on 01758 613 666); but please note that if the balance is paid by credit card (not the deposit) a charge of 2% will be made to cover part of our costs. No charge will be made for payments by Maestro, Solo or Delta.

All bookings are from SATURDAY TO SATURDAY (unless otherwise stated) from 3.00 p.m. on day of arrival to 10.00 a.m. on day of departure. Out of season some proprietors will accept short-break holidays.

Some properties have the proprietors living in an annexe or chalet, caravan, etc. nearby; but all properties are self-contained unless otherwise stated.

PLEASE NOTE THAT BOOKING TAKEN WITHIN 14 DAYS OF COMMENCEMENT MUST BE PAID FOR BY DEBIT/CREDIT CARD.

PHOTOGRAPHS
We believe that the photographs in this brochure portray a true picture of the properties we let, or in some instances scenic photos of the general area or places of interest. Please note however that in some cases the whole property shown in the photograph may not be let. Also, some photographs may show adjoining or part(s) of adjoining properties that are not being rented out. If you require further information, please let us know, and we can put you in direct contact with the property owner or keyholder.

CANCELLATION PROTECTION SCHEME
To safeguard your deposit (and also the balance if already paid) and to avoid any further liability arising in the event of you having to cancel your holiday, Mann's Holidays offers you the following protection:

If all due payments have been made in time then subject to the cover, exclusions and conditions below, Mann's Holidays guarantees to refund your deposit (and also the balance if already paid).

COVER
1. Death, injury or illness of any member of the holiday party or close relative.
2. Unforeseen unemployment through redundancy of any member of the holiday party (eligible under the U.K. Redundancy Payments Act).
3. Jury service by any member of the holiday party.

EXCLUSIONS
Cancellations resulting from any other cause.

CONDITIONS
Mann's Holidays and the owner of the holiday property must both be notified IMMEDIATELY by telephone of any cancellation covered by the above scheme; and this must be confirmed by letter which MUST arrive NOT LATER THAN TWO DAYS PRIOR TO THE PROPOSED DATE OF ARRIVAL ON HOLIDAY. PROOF OF REASON FOR CANCELLATION MUST FOLLOW WITHIN 14 DAYS.
